Holistic Coaching
The term ‘holistic coaching’ might sound like it’s about bringing you a sense of calm, or even seem fluffy in terms of helping you to achieve your goals and desires. The opposite is true, holistic coaching is a high vibration type of approach – it is challenging but supportive at the same time.
One of the differences between holistic coaching and classic coaching is that holistic coaching considers the whole person – mind, body, emotions and spirit in order to lead individuals towards their goals. The aim behind the holistic coaching session is to acknowledge that personal growth and transformation are deeply interconnected with your overall well being.
This perspective allows individuals to explore their values, beliefs and inner wisdom, helping them to discover their authentic selves and align their actions towards the achievement of that particular goal they truly desire. The holistic coaching approach integrates practices from psychology, mindfulness, meditation and personal development to uncover internal blocks and external challenges, empowering clients to fulfil every aspect of their lives.
Your Holistic Transformation
By working with a holistic coach, clients build up self-awareness of their behaviours and patterns so that they can transform faster. Holistic coaching brings deeper conversations to the table by talking about the feelings, emotions and sensations in your body.
After two decades of working with clients, we were aware that many of our clients (and ourselves, at the beginning of our transformative journey) were not connecting with their bodies, because they were spending most of their time in their minds.
Holistic coaching also brings you closer to optimising your mental health in peak performance. Many of our clients need to be at their peak performance in their jobs due to the nature of their environment. Sometimes this environment doesn’t support their growth in terms of the holistic nature of the human being, and that’s why the holistic coaching sessions we offer at House of Holistic Performance are designed for this purpose.
This is more than coaching, this is the support and guidance of personal and professional development. House of Holistic Performance is a journey everyone needs.
I came to sort my physical health and ended up on a journey of self- discovery, changing my perspective and outlook on life. Currently, I am applying for a higher job position , my marriage is improving, I am stronger physically and mentally. I believe in myself more and I am learning to live my new life after 40.

What is the Holistic Coaching Model?
The traditional coaching model is an approach based on helping clients to achieve specific goals, overcome challenges and enhance performance. It has its limitations if we compare it to the holistic coaching model.
To clarify the differences between the traditional coaching model and the holistic coaching approach, it’s important to highlight the limitations of the old model and explore how a holistic perspective can elevate personal transformation to a new level.
Get in touch with us
The traditional coaching model focusses only on external factors. It is measurable based on external outcomes, and more often than not, neglects the emotional part of the human being that impacts the overall fulfilment. Holistic coaching knows the importance of the connection of other parts of life to empower the alignment between inner values and outer actions.
Evidence-Based Strategies
A holistic coach at House of Holistic Performance integrates evidence-based strategies that address the whole person—mind, body, emotions, and spirit—to foster lasting well-being and transformation. The coach will have the skills and tools to bring you to the point where you are self-aware and able to regulate your emotions, using somatic practices to connect physical sensations with mental and emotional states. All of these tools and techniques are based on neuroscience and psychology.
A holistic coach will often use tools such as mindfulness, meditation, and visualisation, exploring your belief system so that you are able to identify fear-based blocks that help you to thrive in life.
The Principles of Holistic Coaching
The core principles of holistic coaching are:
Aiming for Transformational and Long-Lasting Results
The coach knows that in order for long-lasting changes to happen, it needs a profound shift in the individual. This involves addressing the root causes and aligning actions with values which will potentially cultivate personal growth.
Focusing on the Whole Person
Holistic coaching looks at all aspects of life and recognises that they are all interconnected and affect one another, collectively influencing the overall well-being of the individual. Physical health, physical fitness, mental fitness and emotional fitness are all included within holistic fitness.
Empowering Human Potential:
The coach’s main focus is to empower clients by helping them to unravel their strengths, abilities, and resources. In return, this promotes confidence, creativity and resilience to accomplish purposeful changes.
Grounded in Soft Skills of Clients
The coach will work with their current emotional status, communication and empathy to support growth and relationships.
Creating Authenticity:
The coach needs to create a safe environment where the client will be able to offer their authenticity. They need to be willing to collaborate and explore in order to create changes.
Knowledge Integration
The coach will use knowledge from a diversity of fields such as psychology, mindfulness, fitness and nutrition among others to personalise a plan that aligns with the clients’ needs.
Strategic in Its Nature
The coach utilises their intuition and practical resources to ensure that the client has an action plan that is aligned with their values and purpose.
What Are the Benefits of the Holistic Coaching Style?
The benefits of holistic coaching are vast, as it centres on understanding the whole person rather than targeting a single goal or challenge. Below are examples of benefits and stories of clients who, through holistic coaching, experienced those benefits:
Personalised Growth
One example that illustrates this is when a client of ours had to change direction in her life. She worked at a job that gave her money for her expenses, etc… but didn’t fulfil her at a deeper level. She started the coaching sessions and she discovered that she could open a business by doing the things she always wanted to do.
Improved Self-Awareness
To bring this benefit to life, let me share a story about a client of us that felt trapped in her own stories and limiting beliefs. During coaching sessions, she realised how she was limiting herself and she had created a bubble around her that didn’t allow her to see further. Then self-awareness start to kick in and she started to realise the negative stories her mind was throwing to her. Once she did, she saw that opportunities were coming her way.
Sustainable Change
A client of ours was stuck in her life and thought that she would never be able to come up from her problems. These problems were affecting her health, relationship, and career. After she started the sessions, she started to change her physical health, the way she was in her relationships improved, and the way she saw herself improved too. Even though she had some set backs, it didn’t affect her personal transformation. Her main focus wasn’t a short-term goal but to sustain the changes, and she continued to grow.
Enhanced Emotional Well-Being
Let me share a real-world story to illustrate this point. A client had suffered from neglect as a child and she felt left out. This neglect brought her into holding on to emotions of resentment and anger, all the way into her forties. Through the process of holistic coaching, she made realisations which allowed her to transform the energy of anger and resentment into the creation of her own destiny. Today, she is able to manage stress much better than ever before due to the tools that she discovered in the coaching process.
Strengthened Mind-Body Connection
One client’s experience perfectly demonstrates the benefits of holistic coaching to a strengthened mind-body connection. This client had mental issues because she was disconnected from her body. During the holistic coaching process at House of Holistic Performance, which combined the 4 pillars, she was able to connect her mind and her body and now she is thriving because she understood that two of them are not separated from one another.
Empowerment and Confidence
To show how this works in practice, consider the story of one of our clients who was always looking for validation about her actions. The coaching process allowed her to create the persona that she always was inside, giving her confidence and empowering her to make her own decisions and to trust the process by tapping into the resources within. She was always asking for validation of her own opinions because she thought her own opinion was less important than someone else.
Deeper Relationships
One of our clients came to us feeling disconnected from her partner and overwhelmed in her friendships. Despite her professional success, she struggled with communication and vulnerability, which left her relationships feeling surface-level and strained.
During the coaching process the coach used mindfulness practices to help her realise the limiting stories about love and connection. Working with these stories and the emotional connection within helped her to approach her relationships with empathy and authenticity. Her communication with her husband improved and what used to trigger her constantly now doesn’t, now that she is aware when this happens and she is able to withdraw from these triggers.
Alignment with Values and Purpose
Here’s how one individual benefited from this method. A client of ours didn’t want to stay in the country where she was living. She believed that she was trapped there forever because she had a belief that her efforts to move were not going to change anything.
During the coaching, she discovered that her past experience as a child made her feel that she was inadequate and not safe at times. She felt that she had to follow the rules. Over time, she noticed profound changes that lead her to take certain actions and that resolved her challenges in a very easy way.
Adaptability to Change
A recent client experience highlights the impact of this approach by understanding that life is not linear, and has its ups and downs. This understanding brought the client awareness that even in periods of uncertainty, she needed to be connected to herself and adapt to find different possibilities, even if the world outside was full of limitations. Holistic coaching helped her to realise that she needed to adapt to the world, not the world to her, in order to progress, and that sometimes her environment wouldn’t agree with the choices she wanted to take.
Holistic coaching creates a supportive and integrative environment where clients can thrive not only in achieving their goals but also in cultivating a balanced, fulfilling, and meaningful life.
Who Can Benefit from Working With a Holistic Life Coach?
Women and mothers in business benefit from working with a holistic life coach. Particularly those navigating the dynamic phase of perimenopause and menopause often find themselves striving to maintain balance amidst the demands of work, family, and self-care.
These women are ready to embrace a more holistic approach to their wellness – seeking to feel energised, confident, and vibrant in their bodies while consciously ageing with grace. For those experiencing challenges like low energy, hormonal fluctuations, or unexpected changes in health, a holistic life coach offers personalised guidance to transform their health and mindset in a way that fits their busy lifestyles.
This kind of coaching is ideal for those who feel stuck in cycles of comparison or rely on quick fixes that fail to deliver real solutions. A holistic life coach at House of Holistic Performance helps women uncover new possibilities, empowering them to make conscious choices that align with their wellness goals.
Entrepreneurs and businesswomen also benefit by learning strategies to optimise their work-life performance. For women juggling packed schedules, a holistic life coach helps to break self-care down into manageable routines, offering solutions for everything from digestion concerns to fostering mental well-being. It’s about creating a thriving, balanced life—one that nourishes their body, mind, and business success.
At House of Holistic Performance, we primarily work with women. However, when men see the incredible transformations their wives or partners experience, they get curious and many choose to embark on the journey themselves.
What to Expect from Holistic Coaching Sessions
Holistic coaching sessions offer a personalised, transformative experience designed to address your unique physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
The sessions are there to help you break through the limitations that are between you and your best self at the present moment. We don’t focus on the far future and we also don’t focus on the past, we focus on what’s in front of you. We listen to you beyond the words, we interrupt your thought pattern if needed and we challenge your limiting beliefs to recreate a new way of thinking, a new way of feeling, and a new way of creating the person you want to be.
As with everything you do, you will need repetition in order to get better at it. The coaching sessions are there to bring you awareness over and over until this way of being will be part of you. The most important concept that sessions will bring you is to become aware of where you are. If you are on auto pilot or if you are being yourself, and if you are aware of what you are saying, feeling and doing.
How Holistic Coaching Supports Long-Term Well-Being
Holistic coaching supports long-term wellbeing by exploring values, beliefs and inner wisdom. This approach empowers you to align your actions with your authentic self, which in return creates profound and lasting changes that go beyond the short-term success that some other types of coaching offer.
This approach will help you to be more confident about yourself and about the choices you make to keep growing for long term success. It also helps you to build resilience and adaptability in the moments of ups and downs, so that you thrive in every area of your life.
Success Stories: Real-Life Transformation
A case that comes to mind involves a client that was completely broken internally, which showed externally. She had eczema, she gained a lot of weight, her hair turned grey, and the relationship with her husband was failing, which also affected her relationship with her kids. Her levels of stress were through the roof.
She was lost but at the same time, she was willing to do anything to change her circumstances. She decided to embark herself in the process of personal transformation with our 4 Pillars coaching programme.
After a few sessions in the process, you could see already changes. Her mood changed, her vitality changed, and she had many ‘aha’ moments when she identified what was important for her. She started to prioritise herself because she understood that if she was carried on pleasing others, then she would attract the same outcome.
Further into the programme more changes started to happen. She didn’t try to change her husband as she had been doing in the past, but because she changed, this created a domino effect and her husband started to change too.
Her health improved to the point that she was dropping body fat, gaining strength and vitality, and her sleep and eczema improved. She nourished herself from inside out and it didn’t stop there, because she looked into new ways of eating, managing her stress levels through meditation practices and more.
Her transformation is a real-life transformation that shows that being in the present moment and seeing yourself from the outside can have an impact in creating lasting changes. Moreover, it also how your transformation can have an impact on people around you, and how they might start to change themselves too, as her husband did.

Individuals who are new to this process are often not aware of the language they are using towards themselves. They are not aware of the limiting stories and how sometimes these stories are far from the truth. Our blog post on Holistic Health goes into more detail on this approach and the changes you can expect to see from it.
