My own personal growth, and mindset enriched by self awareness, brought me to a point where I decided to pursue my inner vision of leading a business centred around personal development for women. The aim was to help women in overcoming self doubt, so they could reach their unlimited potential and holistic transformation.
House of Holistic Performance is the result of my own personal growth, self confidence and self discovery path for the last 20 years. All of those years, I have been aiming to find the best solutions to overcoming obstacles and leaving my comfort zone in a quest for personal success with self-acceptance, self-compassion and a sense of fulfilment of my own full potential.
The journey has been very rocky, but it has lead me to many ‘aha’ moments – which have had a tremendous effect on how life looks for me in the present moment.
Someone recently congratulated me on my baby daughter arriving in October 2024 and wished me all the best, hoping that I’m thriving.
I hesitantly say that I am – not because everything is perfect, but because I feel less burdened by the things that used to trouble me. At 44, I feel more complete than ever, having embodied my life vision so deeply that it’s almost overwhelming to realise it’s unfolding right here and now as I speak and write.

Redefining Success: Personal Development for Women
What does success mean in the modern world?
From my experience as a peak-performing woman, and working with other women striving for personal development, we urgently need to redefine the meaning of success. I would argue that success for many women means fulfilment, to some work achievements, and to others being a housewife. However, to most of the clients we’ve had the pleasure to work with, success means finding your authentic self with a deeper understanding and connecting to your life’s purpose.
Today’s women face challenges of having or choosing to fulfil many roles at the same time. Being a mother at the same time as pursuing a career path, or being with family at the same time as being available for social circles, for example.
Women run 110% every single day without realising that at some point, something will need to be given up due to burnout, mental health problems, a high stress level or a relationship commitment.
The above is the reason why we want to nourish women’s personal success. Women cannot drive far without fuel, and our holistic programmes create a transformation in your thinking, unlocking personal growth, self-awareness and a growth mindset. The emotional health gets looked after and becomes less reactive but more creative – “the body becomes a new mind”.
We don’t really need to create a new movement to empower women – women are already powerful. We need to help them to rediscover their full potential with more self-compassion and self-acceptance.
Why is Personal Development Important?
Personal development is not just a “nice-to-have” in the modern version of leadership and peak performance.
More women than ever desire to level up their career and professional path. However, based on my experience and work with high-achieving women, many of us face challenges in developing soft skills, alongside health issues like burnout.
A 2023 study by Women Rising confirms what I have observed. Confidence and self-doubt are among the most significant challenges for women in their careers, affecting 53%. Burnout is also a concern, impacting more than half at 55%.
What drives the pattern is the unworthiness factor, and having the “good girl” persona which always masks our authentic self and how we want to be seen.
I have experienced burnout twice and the tendency is to look after yourself last. It’s a common problem in all the female clients we work with. There is never enough time to follow the healthy habits of eating, sleeping or exercising.
Personal development is a way to reset your whole self, it will bring benefits to your self confidence and self esteem whilst your body will be more nurtured and nourished.
Common Misconceptions About Personal Growth for Women
A misconception about personal growth for women is that it’s an empowering movement. Of course, there are elements of motivation, inspiration and levelling up energy that will spike to action.
However, empowering women takes more than to make them feel good. We need to work on the deeper understanding of the limiting beliefs which often stops them from growing into their own potential. Self-improvement comes from setting achievable goals and actually achieving them, step by step.
Personal growth strategies are tailored to individual needs and depend on the inspirations you have got. We offer different resources from body – mind coaching, the neuroscience of change and somatic experience, and we strongly focus on the body with physical training and nutrition and its benefits to cognition, self-confidence, overcoming obstacles and resilience building.
Some other common misconceptions about personal growth include:
The supportive network of women you get a chance to access is there not only to give applause, but to challenge your thinking and beliefs.
Personal growth is not a linear path and requires commitment over period of time to start with. The thing is, once you get hooked on the benefits coming from the action you take, you will desire more transformational results that the personal development is creating.
A personal development programme with House of Holistic Performance is not just a well-being journey but a game changer for your professional progress and life.
Mindset Shifts for Personal Growth in Women
The growth mindset, in connection with embodying your new emotions and feelings, is where transformation begins.
Our client Anne had a mindset shift and overcame negative thinking about reaching for a higher job position in her organisation. Her shift happened at the point of self-confidence and self-awareness when she realised her past stories were blocking her from reaching for that dream job.
The fear of the unknown and public speaking transformed into courage and vulnerability when she embodied the position she was applying for. She decided to become the person who would rather take steps to learn new skills than forever regret the opportunity which came to her within one year of working with us.
A mindset shift is a benefit of joining our Master or Foundational programme. We can face the challenges you find on your way and transform them into a success story of your exciting future.
Our past stories, experiences and beliefs are locked in our memories and our bodies as emotions and feelings. The best you can do is to change your thinking and work on feeling new emotions, elevating them rather than staying in the survival mode of anger, fear, guilt, shame, blame, or frustration.
I have been on the journey of transforming my limiting stories for a while and being aware of myself and what drives my behaviours and stops my progress is, at its root, very liberating and transformational. The growth which took place inside me is profound and lasting. Additionally, overcoming self doubt is more a matter of talking myself out of limiting beliefs and semantics.
The new skills you gain in the process of personal growth will allow you to simply speak your truth with a full transparency. It might not come easy at the start, the old patterns might arise when you at least expect them to, however, over time, it will become more familiar and straightforward to follow.
Training your unlimited mind potential is like training muscles, over time you feel stronger, fitter and more agile.
You become unstoppable.
House of Holistic Performance is my way of overcoming past thinking and self-doubt, and it’s proof it can be done. When you stay focused on learning and identify the reasons for change, improvement will and must happen.
Practical Steps for Personal Development
What are some practical steps you can take towards personal development?
1. Become an Observer Rather than a Reactor
One of our professional clients, who turned her whole life into more opportunities, told me once that this is one of the hardest things to do.
Yes, indeed, removing yourself from the reactive state and usually aggressive, guilt or shame driven actions in order to move away from the pleasing or “good girl” persona takes time to embody. You have never done it before, hence you need to give yourself time. Observation will serve you as one of tools for more inner growth.
2. Focus On the Importance of Well Being and Mental Health
Many things can stop your personal development, however, being in a lack of physical, mental and emotional fitness will pay back at some point. Burnout is the common side effect of overworking, with the idea that “more is better”. However, remind yourself every time you skip a healthy lunch or workout, that it is the quality that matters over the quantity.
Of course, you are going to have days when you will need to do a sprint to fulfil anything you plan and want to stay accountable to, I do this as well. However, maintaining your well-being and holistic fitness will make the marathon more achievable.
3. Emotions Are Not Always the Best Advisor
As you develop self-awareness, you will recognise that your limiting behaviour is driven at its root by a set of limiting emotions. Once you recognise the pattern of how they make you act, or stop you from acting, you can change them for the emotions you actually want to feel.
4. Accept the Organic Process of Growth
The whole point of personal development is to create the person you want to be.
It might take a while to fully embody your new envisioned experiences, the actions you will take, and the emotions you will feel. Personal growth does not happen overnight because all the limiting patterns are locked in your subconscious mind which you operate at 95% – only 5% belongs to your conscious thinking. With the help of practices such as meditation, you can tap into the brain wave which will allow the process of change to happen.
Learn to accept that you might regress or stop the process completely and acknowledge with self-compassion your failure to carry on. However, after the heart-based compassion, take the steps to get into your practice again.
5. Start Strength Training
I know you might prefer a different activity such as Yoga or Pilates, or wanted me to be coming more from empathy and deeper understanding. I’m here for these as well. However, I want to immerse you into the world of benefits of weight training for female body: brain, hormones, confidence and resilience.
Activities to Support Personal Growth
There are countless activities I could recommend, but here are five can help you make meaningful progress and shift more quickly from where you are now.
Think of these actions as foundational building blocks for your personal growth journey.
Self Reflection
Self reflection is a part of many transformative coaching programmes. However, my point is to self reflect with self awareness and become conscious of the loaded programme of your past.
When you write down your self reflection, truly embody what you are writing and take this activity to the heart because when our clients do that, overnight miracles happen to them.
You can also review the words you are talking to yourself and the language you use. Is it that you speak with kindness to yourself or about yourself?
Acknowledge what you are putting after the word “I Am”.
Meditation
It’s amazing to think that I now include meditation as a key part of my personal development activities. Why? Because only a few years ago, I would have refused to do this. Initially, I approached meditation casually, incorporating it spontaneously into my personal growth plan. However, over the past 12 months, it has become an essential daily practice. Yes, I still have days or weeks where I might skip it, but I end up regretting this, because I know it transforms the way I create my personal and business life.
Physical Training
The benefits of movement, or what I called Holistic Fitness, for our capacity to peak perform and regulate brain axis with other body parts and hormones, our DNA expression and brain neuroplasticity is what you need in order to stretch and overreach into the direction of full potential. The benefits are vastly underrated and women should be more inquisitive to learn and experience them.
There is no single client at House of Holistic Performance who embodies the benefits of weight training. The weight lifting is a part of Body pillar in our Holistic Performance Method. We teach what we preach.
Healthy Eating
You might be surprised to see “healthy eating” on the list, as you are looking for personal development activities, not a wellness programme.
In a world of my idea of business, “Health is the King and Wellness is the Queen”. Why?
Because I have seen and worked with far too many people, including upcoming leaders, entrepreneurs, business owners, top London lawyers and executives, who lost mental and physical health on the way to “becoming”, including myself.
We believe there is a healthier way rather than burnout. Following a quality meal plan that nourishes your body and mind, gives you sustainable energy and makes you feel vibrant and look unstoppable, which is what we want for you.
Quality Sleep
How much should I sleep? I am very busy, I have a deadline? What shall I do when I cannot sleep? How can I manage my sleep when I am in the middle of an important project?
I get asked all of these questions and the answer is very personal to me. I used to suffer from sleep trauma and stored lots of negative emotions about my sleep due to a few reasons: as a child I used to wake up early to kindergarten around 6:30 am, as a Personal Trainer I used to work week by week crazy hours such as 5am wake up. I had tendencies to over exercise which did not help my recovery.
Over the years, I created an emotional feedback to waking up early and if I did not get solid 8-9 hours of sleep, I would not function. I did some work on this and elevated my emotions around waking up and trust me, it worked. As I become a mother of two, there are times I just have to work earlier hours and when I do that, I feel very fulfilled. I think I feel my soul.
However, as has been said, I am very aware what lack of sleep is like and what my cognition is like when I don’t sleep. My performance drops down and my sense of drive for my business disappears.
So my advice is, solve your sleep issues before they become the reason why you have to stop your journey. You can drive on with your passion and block your brain only so far until your whole body gives up completely.
Boundary Setting
Boundary setting is a profound set point into your personal growth. Often easier said than done, at least at the start. It can feel like a sharp pain in your heart and bring emotions of guilt and unworthiness. However, over time, it will give you freedom and sense of control.
How Can a Personal Development Coach Help Women Grow?
“I came to sort my physical health and ended up on a journey of self- discovery, changing my perspective and outlook on life. Currently, I am applying for a higher job position , my marriage is improving, I am stronger physically and mentally. I believe in myself more and I am learning to live my new life after 40.
Thank you H.O.H.P”
Reena Ruhomah, Senior Policy Executive
Many women who join our programme, like Reena, are looking for an overall experience of transformation on all levels – not just body or health. Overtime, they can tap into the other issues which used to bother them and needed to be reassessed.
A personal development coach will take you beyond your past experience. It will take you out of your comfort zone and hold you accountable toward yourself. You have a goal and we help you to get what you want in the most profound way possible.
I’ve put together answers to some of the questions I get asked most often.
How do I develop myself as a woman?
You can develop yourself as a woman by asking yourself inquisitive questions, going beyond the cultural boundaries set for women. Feeling stuck is a moment to act rather than feel sorry for yourself and the situation you are in. Give yourself a moment of self-compassion and a big hug – you’ve probably never done it before – and then ask for help and support.
To overcome low self-esteem as a woman, change the tape that has always been playing in your head. Hire a personal development coach if you want to rise faster. Motivational speeches will not work long term, you need a foundational change of part thinking and feeling.
Why is personal development important for female leaders?
As more women get involved in important decisions, we need to become more confident and more aware of our potential. We can only reach this potential when we are consciously embodying our growth from within, when we embrace our beauty of vulnerability and ability to endure in the most difficult moments.
Transformational coaching is a tool that we have been using for many years at House of Holistic Performance. This tool has been evolving and continues to evolve to fit the changing world our clients live in.
Our personal transformation journey at House of Holistic Performance started with the transformation of ourselves, the discovery of new possibilities, new tools that we encountered on our own learning journey and that slowly became a piece of the puzzle for our transformational coaching journey.
We are aware of the narratives our clients have that block their progression and keep them from reaching their true potential. Transformational coaching is there not only to listen, but to bring awareness of that voice in their heads and help them to flip it over so that they move one step further in their personal transformation, focusing on their own mindset.
Note: The names in client stories used as examples of growth have been changed.
What is Transformational Coaching?
Transformational coaching is different to traditional coaching because it focuses on personal growth, self-awareness and the deep internal changes that we hear or feel from our clients. The traditional coaching world is focused more on performance, goal setting and problem-solving.
The transformational coaching style is focused on being more than doing. It is a holistic approach that focuses on the present moment and how the internal world of a client is at that moment. Traditional coaching methods are more structured and linear, and focus more on the doing part of it.
Transformational coaching helps to shift mindset, beliefs and thought patterns to transform the experience that the client has, helping them see situations in a new way so that they can move forward in more meaningful ways.
How Does Transformational Coaching Work?
Transformational coaching requires the coach to be present with the client from the first moment, so that they can be aware of the client’s energy as well as their internal dialogue. It is about feeling and listening to the point where you, as a coach, go deep below the words your clients are saying.
In order for the coaching conversation to flow, it needs to be built on trust between the client and the coach, otherwise the coaching experience won’t create sustainable transformation.
A transformational coach is always leading the client on their coaching journey of reflection, and why they are choosing existing patterns instead of creating different ones that will bring them new possibilities.
Master mentor coaches need to explore their clients’ current reality by exploring what is holding them back, what is the reason they retain their bad habits that stop them from progression and self-actualization.
In order for the process of transformation to occur, the coach needs to possess the skills to uncover and shift limiting beliefs. The coach does that by challenging the negative self-talk, bringing new awareness and reframing the beliefs.
The life coach also has to empower the client to take responsibility of their own transformation and growth. The client can’t leave the session feeling they are not capable to change their current reality. They need to leave the coaching session feeling they can trust their inner wisdom that guides them to their desired emotional state.
What is the Goal of Transformational Coaching?
The goal of transformational coaching is to empower the client in all aspects of their life, including mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. The role of the transformational coach is helping clients to live their life authentically, bring them awareness and empower them to be who they really want to be.
Even though the transformation of one self could seem like it is related to just one area of the client’s life, the opposite is true. At House of Holistic Performance, our transformational coaching programme focuses on wholeness and our clients learning new skills to create deep transformation which in return creates more sustainable transformation.
Types of Transformation a Coach Can Help Create
A coach can create transformation in your mindset, physical health, relationship and career.
Mindset
A life coach can help to open up your mind and transform the way you see the world. Successful transformational coaches are here to bring you self awareness and make you identify challenging limiting beliefs that are stopping you from living your full potential. They are here to teach you to reframe your negative thoughts into more positive ones and also to encourage you to adopt a more growth mindset approach, where challenges are seen as opportunities to grow.
An example of mindset transformation is from one of our clients, Ellie. Ellie was a doctor who had a court hearing and she was in a terrible position where she could lose everything. Despite all her achievements, she struggled with self-doubt on the process and her mindset was in a terrible place.
Ellie couldn’t believe in herself and the only words which repeatedly came from her mouth was “I ruin my life and the life of my family.” This belief brought more anxiety, blockages and a negative belief that nothing could be done.
Through the transformational coaching program at House of Holistic Performance, which involved training, nutrition and supplements, coaching and mindfulness, Ellie started to shift her mindset and started to reframe what once was not a possibility to win the case to a more winning mentality and in the end, she won the case.
Over time, Ellie shifted her mentality and saw more opportunities. Even though these new opportunities brought self-doubt, Ellie took the opportunity which in return brought more positive impact into her personal and professional life.
Physical Health
There is a saying your health is your wealth and this is not far from the truth, without your physical health you are going to struggle to carry on with your life. Transformative coaching can boost your physical health by shifting your mindset and create sustainable healthy habits, which can support you through emotional healing and burnout, and help you to create health strategies that will allow you to increase your motivation and energy.
Our coaching clients at House of Holistic Performance get all of that by implementing a combination of strategies we teach and their own inner guidance, which becomes natural over time. Our coaching journey starts by bringing our clients awareness of the language they use towards themselves, and the shift they have to do to bring more positive psychology into their life.
Nina was an HR officer for an important company. She was lost, her marriage was broken down which affected her physical health from inside out. Her self-worth was affected as a result of her inner negative self talking which in return make her gain weight, have skin problems, and experience poor sleep, stress and burn out.
Nina started the transformational coaching program with the intention of changing her life for good. This leap of faith already started the process of transformation.
Nina started to implement all the strategies that she learnt during sessions. She changed the self-limiting beliefs about the world around her. She changed her eating habits, she changed the way she was talking to herself, she trained 3 times a week, she walked nearly 1 hour a day and she started meditation. But the important thing was that she believed that if she was going to willing to do the work, her physical health would transform.
As a result of doing the program, she started to burn fat, her eczema started to disappear, her sleep improved, her mood improved and her emotional well-being also improved. Even the people around her started to notice her changes.
Additionally, Nina was inspired by illuminating real life stories shared during her sessions, which connected her personal journey to practical guidance provided by the coaches.
Relationship
Transformational coaching can help to transform relationships. This could come by transforming the internal dialogue that sometimes can pass through their consciousness. Their past is dictating what type of relationship they have at the current moment. The role of the transformational coach is to bring them awareness, creating new scripts in the way they communicate with the person or people they having problem with.
The coach is also spending time helping clients to cultivate self love and and self compassion. Usually this is a big point to bring awareness in the coaching session because clients, more often than not, are very harsh on themselves. They are using very strong vocabulary towards themselves, sometimes it feels like a self-punishment infliction and it involves very strong emotions such as guilt, shame and fear.
The role of the transformational coach here is to bring awareness of what fulfilling relationships look and feel like. It is the role of the coach to help the client to avoid blaming others and take responsibility to change the things they can change.
One of our clients, Marina, was having relationship issues due to an accumulation of anger towards her parents and towards herself, which then developed into anger towards her husband. She started marriage counselling sessions and after weeks and weeks of seeing no changes, she decided to reach out for help.
She started the coaching programme where she discovered patterns that didn’t serve her. She changed the old scripts in her head allowing her to move away from her past and create a new personality where there wasn’t space for blaming others for her circumstances.
Marina started to believe more in herself and created boundaries when before she would hold the emotions and didn’t say anything to anyone.
Today, Marina’s relationship has improved to the point that her changes also indirectly created changes in her husband, even though she no longer tells him to change.
Career
Clients often come with stories of why they can’t change career, location of work, apply for a new job, or a new role in their company, without feeling how these changes could benefit them or their families. Sometimes, the voice in their head is telling them that despite their effort in changing, something is not going to work, or the “I don’t deserve it, this is not meant for me”.
At House of Holistic Performance, we help clients to change work, career path, gain new skills, believe in themselves, set up healthy boundaries in their work environment, and prepare themselves for things like big presentations. The key to doing that, as mentioned before, is by bringing self-awareness to clients of their negative self-talk.
One of our clients, Lily, wanted to move on the career ladder at a very important organisation worldwide and move countries.
Lily needed a shift in her life and that opportunity came, however, self-limiting beliefs started to pop in her mind. The words “I am not good enough” started to come up, the voice of perfectionism and low self confidence was getting stronger and more frequent, and stopped her from applying for that desired job.
Then, after she started the transformational coaching sessions, everything turned around. She started to unravel her insights and had more sudden moments of discovery that brought her more confidence in her self. She was more aware of creating change in her mindset and you could see that the process of transformation that once wasn’t possible started to flow through her.
Lily was a an example of transformative change, at that time she was lost and she believed every word in her head. The coaching approach taught her to reframe any limiting beliefs about herself, this exercise helped her to bring new and empowering vocabulary to create a new script which would help her to get the job that she desired.
Ultimately, Lily got the job and she moved countries. The coaching approach helped her to realise that no matter what the dialogue in her head was, she was going to get it because she was deserving of that change. She didn’t allow the words of perfectionism to overtake her.
What Does a Transformational Coach Do?
A transformational coach will have many different tools that will help the clients achieve their desired state of growth.
Transformational Coaching Techniques
A transformational coach at House of Holistic Performance will use techniques such as:
Mindset shifting, which consists of identifying limiting beliefs and replacing them with empowering ones, focusing on shifting clients from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset.
Emotional intelligence which teaches the client how to be more self aware and how emotions influence their behaviour and decisions.
Somatic work, mindfulness and meditation, which involves body scan and other type of meditations that will help our clients to be more present, within their bodies and not in their minds.
Powerful questioning, which involves asking open-ended questions instead of yes and no questions. This can help a client shift their awareness quickly and unlock a new perspective to see a situation or an opportunity.
Exercise, which involves weight training. We believe that exercise can unlock your body’s potential and change the way you feel about yourself. Exercise also helps to reduce stress which in return can bring clarity for clients.
The Transformational Coaching Process
A transformational coach will start with a discovery session where the coach will identify the client’s needs, challenges and goals. Then, from there, they will set transformational goals that align with the client’s values.
After this, a transformational coach will move into exploration of limiting beliefs and emotional patterns, expanding self-awareness and challenging assumptions by asking thought-provoking questions.
The next phase will be into integration and embodiment through mindfulness and meditation practices, which encourage our clients to move into a more quantum model of reality, which embodies the future before is happening to bring a shift of new perspective to them.
Finally, the coach will help to set up the client’s accountability plan to follow to work independently for their own growth, such as creating habits that will move the client forward in their pursuit of living their authentic life.
What Are the Benefits of Transformational Coaching?
Transformation coaches are here to lead clients to a thriving life, where they can achieve whatever they desire from a heart-based perspective, rather than an ego-driven one. The benefits transformation coaching can bring to clients are:
Personal Growth and Self-Actualization
A transformational coach will help clients to grow into a state of self-actualization, where they will guide them to unlock and embody their full potential in every aspect of their life. By doing that, they will experience a new sense of direction, motivation and fulfilment.
Improved Relationships
A transformational coach can bring a great deal of self awareness into clients life so that they observe how they interact in their relationships and how they feel about it. It can also help them improve their communication and conflict resolution skills and how to set up healthy boundaries so that emotions such as anger, resentment and sadness don’t take over their life.
A study of 210 football players from Turkish leagues showed that transformational leadership helped to improve the relationship between the coach and the athlete, which then led to more team resilience. This shows how important it is to have a coach who is grounded, resilient, and possesses different coaching skills in order to change your mindset.
Career Development and Fulfilment
Transformational coaches enhance career development and fulfilment by aligning an individual’s professional goals with their core values, passions, and strengths. It empowers clients to gain clarity on their career vision, overcome limiting beliefs, and build confidence to pursue new opportunities or navigate transitions.
By fostering self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and resilience, coaching helps individuals improve leadership skills, enhance workplace relationships, and increase performance. Ultimately, it facilitates a shift from merely achieving external success to experiencing deep, intrinsic fulfilment and purpose in their career.
Is Transformational Coaching Right for You?
Are you feeling stuck in your personal life and professional life?
Do you feel everyone in your environment believes you can’t achieve this or that?
Do you feel a calling that says enough is enough?
Do you feel you are an impostor and you are living someone else’s life?
Do you feel as if you wake up every morning and your life is the same as the day before?
If the answer is yes to any of these questions, then transformational coaching is for you and you should take a step forward and begin to change your life, one step at a time. The coach works beside you and guides you towards a fulfilling life.
When to Consider Transformational Coaching
When you don’t know where to turn, you are lost and you tried everything and nothing else has worked.
How to Find the Right Personal Growth Coach for Your Transformative Journey
In order to find the right coach for you, we would recommend trusting your intuition, looking for coaches with accredited diploma or an official certification, or looking at the International Coaching Federation website.
The House of Holistic Performance Approach

In our experience (over two decades of personal evolution using science based-approaches) we have seen transformations from inside out.
Our clients never stop evolving, they became someone else because they know that in order to thrive in life, they need to become someone else or they would remain in the same place, thinking the same thoughts and behave and act the same as the day before.
At House of Holistic Performance, we have qualifications in fitness, nutrition and lifestyle interventions, coaching and mindfulness and meditation practices. We are not stopping here, as we evolve just as our clients do, and we are looking into different tools and techniques to incorporate into our practices.
We’ve answered some common questions on transformational coaching below.
What is the transformation coaching strategy?
A transformation coaching strategy is a holistic method that guides individuals through deep personal or professional change by shifting their mindset, identity, and behaviours. It focuses on clarifying a client’s vision and purpose, identifying and replacing limiting beliefs, and rewiring thoughts to align with their desired life. Through practices like mindfulness, visualisation, and emotional awareness, clients cultivate presence and resilience. The strategy also includes an action plan tailored to their new identity, with ongoing support and accountability to ensure lasting, authentic growth.
What is the difference between life coaching and transformational coaching?
The difference between life coaching and transformational coaching is that life coaching will help you to achieve specific goals such as lose weight and career change, among others. On the contrary, transformational coaching will help to shift your inner world, reframe your limiting beliefs and make changes in the way you see the world.
How long does transformational coaching typically take to see results?
Transformational coaching results may vary depending on every client situation. Our foundational programme can take from 4 to 6 months. However, you can start to see results from the first month.
The global personal development market is expected to grow from $47.74 billion in 2023 to $82.33 billion by 2033. This is a refection to make towards the end of 2024 – why is so much money going to be spent on personal growth and self-development?
Today’s world asks us about new personal development frameworks to support our personal life, career development and build key skills of self awareness and emotional intelligence.
The era of static, unchanging personal growth, where you are not meant to develop and progress into your most authentic self, is slowly becoming a past memory. You are now being challenged into the new standard criteria of conscious thinking and body, mind and heart integration.
My personal development journey started when I was in my thirties. Post-traumatic sport injury brought me into a bigger reflection on myself and my environment, improving myself became my mastery and my excellence.
I approach personal growth holistically, and my big vision is to inspire you to look deeply into your whole self, your personal life and self-awareness, coming from your past wisdom and the present moment development path.
Note: The names in client stories used as examples of growth have been changed.
What is Personal Development?
When introducing you to the idea of a personal development plan, I would like to refer to Maslow’s Hierarchy. This is when our basic needs fulfilment comes first, before we desire a complete self – actualisation of the full potential.
Many personal development methods build a personal growth strategy around this hierarchy. However, my personal experience and professional success with clients brought my attention towards the quantum field self development path. This is where you are creating more from the place of thriving emotions, and feeling rather than driving from the survival mode.
As a matter of fact, I have been creating my personal and professional success from the high-energy field, rather than purely following the basics of Maslow’s hierarchy. I found it rather more joyful, opportunistic, unlimiting and empowering when I create my future before it’s happening, as Joe Dispenza teaches.
Rather than follow the rat race of limitation, I decided to embrace the power of the body, mind and heart connection. Putting myself into a state of total disconnection from matter and material and aligning myself with the energy field allows me to go beyond the survival mode and the state Maslow’s hierarchy calls “Physiological Needs”.
Often to create these basic needs will bring you back into the past feelings, emotions and behaviours. Switching off the survival patterns which are coming from limiting memories can slow down or block the process of creation.
What if you wish to create a healthy body but in the past you were very ill of felt very unwell?
What if you wish to create a thriving relationship but in the past you were hurt?
What is you have a dream business idea but in the past you failed with another business idea?
The personal development journey I have in mind for you goes beyond anything you have read on the internet so far. It is more than a self help programme or a goal-setting exercise with a motivational speech from your life coach.
I want to offer you a redefinition of the personal development plan with more self awareness and deeper understanding of self. The self development framework we offer is a learning process with defined milestones, packed with challenges for you to overcome. The personal growth is going to happen on all levels: mental, physical, emotional and social. You will become the person you always wanted to be. It’s all ready for you!
Personal Development Skills
Developing core skills is going to enhance your personal development and help you with achieving your personal and professional goals. For many years, my personal development plan was identified by hard skills. These skills were acquired by education and experience:
“Hard skills are technical competencies that are needed to perform the duties of a job. They are often job-specific and can be acquired through practice, repetition, and education”.
However, in the new era of personal development, we need to include the so called soft skills. These are defined as:
“Personal attributes and social abilities that help people interact with others and contribute to a positive work environment”.
Therefore, you should consider the progress into deeper understanding, more self-awareness and expanded personal competency. This includes connection with yourself, your authentic voice, and the integration of your body and mind. Self-improvement is a lifelong process and will need consistency and resilience from you.
Why is Personal Development Important?
The defined milestone of your personal development journey will be your ability to stay still in the moment of disturbance, disorganisation or any challenges on your path. The ability to connect with the self without judgment, and the ability to be in a non-reactive, non-blaming, guilt and shame-free mode will bring you closer to the achieving your goals and self-actualization.
In my professional life I often meet people who ask me about big things, such as rebuilding something that it is not functioning well any more. Either it is a relationship, health, mindset, self esteem, body, work, or communication. Recreating yourself with a new vision of who you want to become will need new skills and knowledge, as well as a new framework of thinking and enhanced emotional intelligence.
Therefore, in our personal development method at House of Holistic Performance, we stress the importance of self awareness and personal skills on the way to personal transformation. You can trust me on that. Personal development takes place from the deep understanding of self and connection, with what is true to us in relation to the external world we live in.
The 4 Points of Personal Development
Over the last 20 years of my personal development and professional service, I have created personal development method called the Holistic Performance Method – a framework for self improvement and the personal development path.
It took mental and physical burnout, self-doubt, losses, tears and being in survival mode for me to finally rise up with more resilience, authenticity and courage. The personal development plans we have are a feedback system to you on what is your future life vision going to be like, rather than a deep therapeutic exploration of the past, where you no longer want to be.
The core areas of our personal development plans are: body, mind, health and growth.
Body
A resilient body will bring you a sense of achievement on the physical and mental level. Our aim is to make sure your have all the fitness abilities to feel strong and healthy. Right now, you might not understand full how fit and optimal body can help you to achieve the goals you set yourself :either improving oneself, overcoming mental illness or building your self-esteem.
The benefits of resilient body extend beyond physical to the healthy longevity of your personal and professional relationships or even business related matter.
Mind
Is it all about your mindset? Or rather the integration of body and mind?
The core area of our personal development method is overcoming the mindset limits set at some point of your life, either your family, your parents , social circles or beliefs you hold based on your experience and education.
Joining our training programmes means overriding the limited mind to create a new vision of yourself. Digging over and over into the past failures will not always create a future success. We want you to experience a full immersion of mind possibilities. The success lies in between challenges you experienced and a new potential we ask you to create.
What is your new potential that you hold in your mind?
Health
There is never a better time to set goals related to your own health.
I experienced a personal health breakdown which took me into my own personal development journey and helped me to define milestones where I could express my authentic purpose and life vision for the future.
My journey from losing myself into the person I have now become, came at the cost of my health therefore I have had to reassess the way I self care.
I decided to upgrade my knowledge to achieve the best possible level of physical and mental well- being. The same is true to many of our clients who come to see us at the moment of burnout with mental disconnection. Often at the moment of breakdown happens the real transformation and true personal development.
Health is the missing link of personal development plans in most of the personal development courses I have seen so far. No one pays attention to the benefits of a sharp mindset, nourishing food and nutrition, optimal sleep, or Vitamin D. These are just a few clinical areas of work with our clients.
Our attitude to health comes from a holistic approach to the whole human development. Our assessment systems will help you identify the core areas of the health personal growth and together after taking the initial case history, we are going to develop the most optimal health plan for you.
Growth
The Growth pillar provides you the opportunity to further reflect on everything related to your mental, emotional, social and physical development. In the process, you become whole with the body and mind.
Mental development brings you more into the “stoic mode” where you learn how to stay still in the non-reactive self. The ability to stay present will allow you have a more connected relationship with yourself and the external environment, leading to the better outcomes based on the set goals you have had.
Emotional development moves you from the past emotional body into the new emotions you would like to experience. The emotional journey will take you into the new body feelings and sensations and will involve practical tools from the field of neuroscience of change.
Social development focuses on the area of setting social boundaries in a healthy way and with integrity. The personal development can not happen without being truthful and honest with yourself.
Physical development will support your body and health in the profound way and our training will help you to achieve the optimal thriving body.
Key Benefits of Personal Development
The benefits of a personal development plan fall into the categories.
Reconnecting With Yourself
When approaching their first consultation, most of our clients generally feel a sense of loss and disconnection from the true authentic personal voice, and the purpose of being and living. The disconnection doesn’t happen only on a physical level, where health is failing, but also spreads into the relationships, partnerships, social life and professional life.
It was exactly this way when Jo came to see us. We had worked with her many years before the major life crisis. Her personal success came within a few months of following activities such as breathing 4 by 4, focusing on the present moment, expressing more kindness to herself and building more courage to speak her truth with integrity.
Gaining Energy and Vitality
When Melanie joined our self development course, her high job position, being available for her family and maintaining social relationships left her without time for self-care. The energy and vitality she presented on our first consultation was non-existing.
Her personal life needed more harmony towards her own well-being. She started her management journal and very quickly realised she needed to add times in her very busy schedule where she can do a physical workout, work on her “good girl “ persona, learn how to set healthy assertive boundaries, eat well-balanced meals and reset her hormonal health.
Expanding Your Comfort Zone
Comfort zone holds us back and keep us in the same set point of our life. Every single of our client manage to overcome their limits and expand beyond their comfort zone.
Sophie is one of those clients who were fearful of her own dreams and wants of moving back to UK, finding a new job, new place to live and start her new life. Her fears of unworthiness and not being good enough were in the way of making the final decisions to change the direction of her life. For her, personal development takes place at the transformation of the most basic emotions of fear into the vision of freedom, bravery and courage.
Experiencing More Life Satisfaction
Nadia wanted to travel and experience the world however her health and job commitment did not allow her to follow her passion of photography and travel.
Her personal goals got fulfilled and Nadia did travel to Asia, as well as improved her relationship with food, body image and building new partnerships. She even she started her own photography business!
Gaining Resilience and Adaptability
Isabella’s resilience around her physical development and commitment to her training left me, as her coach, speechless. She found a way to commit to her early morning personal training and showed her resilience long-term.
Her physical development brought her better fitness, stronger body and a confident mindset.
Preventing Burnout
One of my visions for our training programmes is to prevent burnout.
My own story of coming up from a complete exhaustion in 2011 to full health after a few years is a testimony for the progress you can make. Burnout keeps the body and mind at complete confusion, distress and even isolation, when you do not want to follow any self-actualization. You are only thinking of rest and sleep. The nervous system does remember it for a while. Complete support from our 4 Pillar method is why I feel so confident about our learning programs.
How to Create a Personal Development Plan
For us personalisation is the key and we will always follow our values at House of Holistic Performance. Different people need different things and the starting point might be different for a women in her forties or in her thirties or fifties.
1. Defining Your Goals
Defining your goals is a primary focus when you start with us. You need to gain clarity of your personal development topics during your first interactions with us – this will only make the whole process more consistent and fulfilling.
2. Creating a Plan for Consistency
The biggest problem we have found in our clients is consistency and accountability. Therefore, we always observe that the best outcomes are from clients who decide to commit to work with us on the full time basis. Our master programme brings a full transformation with a complete support from our team.
3. Recording Your Progress
We encourage to run your management journals so you can assure me of your progress. Our sessions are tracked with notes added to our system available to you at any time to review. Recording your wins and failure gives an opportunity to reassess, step back and initiate the new way to achieve objective improvement in any area of your life.
4. Reviewing Your Plan
Always review your plan to make sure to fulfil the purpose and set goals.
We are only going to get motivation from starting a new programme at the beginning. Failing to identify the reasons why you still can not move from the point A to the point B is a common reason why people do not benefit from the personal development plans.
You can review your progress on the weekly and monthly basis. Review is also a point where you can notice the journey behind you and how far you manage to arrive. Review is not to point the failures but remain us we are humans and errors happen. They key is to pick yourself up and carry on with your head lifted up. Be brave!
